"Fire" 18x24 Acrylic Pour

This is one of my FAVORITE pieces! The black background brings out the colors of the fire in such a bold and remarkable way. The cells in the fire are amazing and really bring this piece to life!

I had actually tried to make this piece about 5 times and failed. I could not get the colors to blow out the way I wanted, without fully blending and creating a muggy color in the center. I wasted ALOT of paint but I was determined to create a scene of FIRE and kept trying. Fire represents a lot of things to me and is one of my favorite symbols, (along with water). Years ago I painted fire with a quote inside it, butttttt it was directly on my bathroom wall and I couldn't take it with me when I moved! When I made this piece, it was coming from the same place in my heart with hopes to duplicate my original. This one turned out WAY BETTER though- despite getting it wrong so many tries prior. Pictures truly do not do this one justice. 

This product has been protected with 3 coats of high gloss varnish and cured for 2+ weeks. Varnishing the art not only enhances the colors but also provides a protective top coat which prevents damage from "wear and tear", color fading, exposure to water/ getting wet or spilled on, oils from fingers while handling, and the sun's UV rays, creating a long-lasting, durable, piece of art that will uphold and maintain its beauty for years to come.
