I discovered my love for art in middle school -the hardest, darkest, most traumatic years of my life. As a child of an alcoholic mother and no one to turn to, I was miserably failing to navigate my way through life..

I needed help. I was desperate for an outlet: to be heard, comforted, and validated.

Naturally, it was hard to talk about my negative home-life experiences with others. I thought there was no way anyone could ever possibly understand, relate to, or believe me. Even if they did, the thought of having to find the words to describe the things I went through and felt gave me extreme anxiety and embarrassment, So I bottled it up and kept it all in.... I felt so alone.

I did keep a journal, but putting my feelings and stories on paper was not enough for me. So I began drawing/ doodling in that same journal to express my emotions and pain.

Being able to express myself without speaking a single word out loud was so liberating... Relaxing. Calming. Peaceful. I was pretty good at it too!

I became addicted to ART and explored every form/ art medium I could get my hands ever since. Doing so is probably the one thing that saved me. It made me feel alive.

As an adult, art not only helped me cope with & heal from the past, but it's allowed me to hone in on my skills and identify what areas of art interest me the most.

For the last decade, ACRYLIC PAINT has been my favorite art media and hobby. I love making fluid Pour Art- the designs that can be created on a canvas are INSANE and so cool, but I cannot deny I have a true addiction with paint-brushing a canvas. There's something so satisfying about brush painting to me- I get into a zone and nothing else matters. I absolutely love it.

I'm a very crafty person and enjoy making things, especially creating one-of-a-kind pieces of art. Custom orders are always so much fun! I love creating art that is personal and has a meaning or symbol behind it.

.......Ironically, I've never gone to school for art. I graduated college with a degree in teaching middle school and taught for a short time, but I never stopped making art. Eventually I turned my hobby into a business. Now I get to enjoy the things in life that truly bring me peace every single day- my family and art!
